Arlene Bothwell has been in the decorating industry in one
capacity or another since 1964. Arlene, after moving from
Pennsylvania to Atlantic City in 1984, established Accents
by Arlene and relocated to Florida in 1992
Arlene's reputation as an interior designer followed her
from Atlantic City to Florida and she quickly gathered a loyal
clientele in the sunshine state. One of her first major local
commissions was to restore a residence at the Ocean Reef
Club in Key Largo, FL following Hurricane Andrew.
Based on her design at the Ocean Reef Club she was the
recipient of the "Best of the Reef" award in 1993.
Arlene was one of 40 Designers chosen, from 1,500 considered,
by the Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) to initiate
their "Designer on Call" program and served
on that committee for four terms.
Arlene's teaching reputation has followed her from Pennsylvania
to Atlantic City to Florida where she has been commissioned
by Waccamaw Corp. as their in-house design instructor.
One of the South Florida residences decorated by Arlene was
chosen for the Weston Holiday House Tour 1998. a most
prestigious honor in South Florida.
In 1999 the Ft. Lauderdale Museum of Art called on
her services to decorate two Christmas Trees for their "Festival
of Trees" annual celebration. Nations Bank,
a corporate sponsor of the event, chose Arlene's entry to
adorn their lobby throughout that holiday season.
Arlene's zest and tireless effort led her to expand her services
in 1996 to include Lavish Holiday and Party Decorating;
both for interiors and for exteriors. And of course it was
a natural jump into Marine and Professional Office
décor for this talented designer.
Whether you need guidance or a complete redesign, Arlene
will tailor a plan to suit your needs.
